Family owned restaurant that serves Norwegian comfort foods. The best place to taste local dishes without feeling extorted. Value for money was simply satisfying. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bergen. Taste wise can be self adjusted based on personal preferences, but boy it was a hearty meal we had!
I got a sampler platter to try a bit of it all and it’s a lot of food! Everything was tasty (the soup was exceptional). Easy, fast, tasty food and a variety of types and textures of seafood.
Good experiance to tast some norvegien local food without paying too much. For non norwegien people, restaurants are too expensive but this one is ok. Service is good, there is always line and very fee tables to sit. But food is good and this is the most important for me.
Had #2 fish soup which is the bigger portion (5dl) for NOK189. The fish soup is rich and creamy and contains slices of fish cake. It comes with a small bread and butter. Very comforting and definitely worth trying if you are craving for a hot bowl of soup.
The best food place we have been during our vacations in Bergen ! Traditional, diversity, the plates number 3 and 4 are really great. We've been two times because there is not a lot of Norwegian food in Bergen that offers this great quality-price. The atmosphere is local and nice, you can really go without any hesitation.
The soup taste good! Not too salty with lots of ingredients in it. Staff were nice and friendly. They offered a range of fish cakes, was recommended to pick the traditional one by the staff there. Was given an English menu as I cannot speak the language in Norway.
If there is one place you want to try in town, it is this nice little Norwegian food cantine! The fish is fresh, the food is served fast and it feels your belly well at an affordable price. You'd probably miss it if you don't know its there, stuck between other stores, but take your chance and go.
